- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪I have been a patient of Dr. Beale for eight years now and do not feel comfortable with her anymore. I think that she and her staff only want to "see me" so they can get paid. Need a doctor's health clearance or referral to a specialist? Forget faxing the approval, even if you're a long-time patient. At Ambler Medical, they insist on an appointment every time. It shows a lack of trust, understanding or respect for the patient. And maybe it shows appropriate diligence. So that alone isn't a deal breaker. Here's what is: While on my honeymoon in Canada I realized that I had forgotten my birth control pack. I needed Dr. Beale and her nurses' help getting my current prescription for contraception faxed over to a local pharmacy. The request seemed fairly simple and fair, and yet it carried huge consequences for me and my husband -- we did not intend to start a family right away. Dr. Beale got back to me two days after I called the office (her nurse relayed the message). She refused to help, saying "sorry, but you really need an appointment." That was it. I was insulted and upset that she dismissed my health and life, just like that. I don't trust her anymore and am actively searching for a new PCP.October 30, 2017by A Google User
